How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 9000 & Torch:

Model : BlackBerry Bold 9000 & Torch

1) Make sure your SIM card is NOT inserted into the device.
2) Turn on the phone and click the "Manage Connections" icon. Choose the option "Turn off all connections." The cellular radio will be turned off.
3) Go back to the Home screen and click the "Options" icon and select "Advanced Options."
4) Scroll down and select "SIM Card" from the list.
5) Press the following keys in order: (M) (E) (P) (E)
6) A prompt will appear asking for the unlock code. Input the 16-digit code exactly.
9) Reboot your device.
10) Re-enable the cellular radio

How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 9700 Curve:

1. Go to settings menu => and then Options
2. Select Advanced options => and then Sim card

Step Action

• 1 Insert NON Cingular SIM into device
• 2 Power on the device
  - Wait approximately 30 seconds until the SimLock application appears (the delay may be longer if the user has already attempted an unlock with the wrong code)

Enter the 8-digit unlock code and tap OK when done.
Wait for the device to validate the unlock code (about five seconds). You will see one of the following screens:

Unlock successful.

Unlock failed due to incorrect code. The user has three attempts to unlock. After three attempts, the device will refuse any more unlocking attempts. Perform a soft reset to reset the counter to perform additional unlocking attempts.

Device is not ready for unlocking. This error message displays when the user tries to unlock when the phone application (not the device) is not in a steady state. It takes 30 seconds after powering on the phone for it to reach a steady state.

1. Insert a SIM card from a different network provider and turn on the Sidekick. A dialog screen comes up, prompting you for the code.
